Author Guidelines

The Cultural Economy and Heritage Studies Journal: Interdisciplinary Approaches welcomes original research articles, review essays, case studies, and book reviews in the fields of cultural economy, folklore, heritage studies, and related disciplines. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

1. Submission

  • Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via [journal submission system / email address].
  • All manuscripts must be accompanied by an abstract (150–200 words) and 4–6 keywords in English.
  • Articles may be written in English or Greek. Submissions in Greek must include an English title, abstract, and keywords.

2. Length and Format

  • Research articles: 6,000–8,000 words (including references, tables, and notes).
  • Review essays: 3,000–5,000 words.
  • Book reviews: 1,000–2,000 words.
  • Manuscripts should be formatted in Word (.docx), double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12pt.

3. Referencing Style

  • The journal follows the APA 7th edition referencing style.
  • Footnotes should be used only for explanatory purposes, not for references.

4. Review Process

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two experts in the field.
  • Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments.

5. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure originality and proper citation of sources.
  • Any use of copyrighted material (images, figures) requires written permission from the copyright holder.
  • The journal adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

6. Publication Fees

  • To support open access publication, the journal charges an Article Processing Fee (APC) of [XX €] per accepted article.

Waivers or discounts may be granted to early-career researchers or authors without institutional support.

  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
