Kοnstantinos Kasaras is a researcher and academic specializing in consumer culture and behavior, cultural industries, and digital consumption. He holds a PhD from Panteion University (2015), with a focus on consumer behavior in cultural products, particularly within the music industry and social media, as well as a Master of Arts (MA) in Sociology of Contemporary Culture from the University of York, UK (2001). His research interests lie at the intersection of digital platforms, technology adoption, and cultural production, with particular emphasis on the music industry as a field of analysis. His published work includes articles in peer-reviewed international academic journals, such as Collective Intelligence (SAGE, WoS/Scopus indexed) and Contemporary Social Science (Routledge), as well as book chapters and presentations at international conferences. He has recently submitted manuscripts to the International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction (Routledge/Taylor & Francis) and First Monday, while his research team has been accepted for presentation at the international conference HAICAI 2026 (Springer Nature, LNNS). In addition, he has published an academic book on consumer culture in the music industry (Paratiritis Thrace Publications, 2026). He has extensive teaching experience at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels, having collaborated with the Hellenic Open University (HOU) and the European University Cyprus. His teaching portfolio includes courses in consumer behavior, business administration, and digital marketing. He has also supervised 36 postgraduate theses in the Master’s program in Cultural Unit Management at HOU. Alongside his academic career, he serves as Head of the Communication Department at the General Secretariat for Vocational Education and Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, and represents Greece in the European EQAVET network.
